Barnobas, The Spellweaver
Barnobas the Spellweaver is a tall, lean man in a long, golden hooded robe. He is systematically depicted holding a grimoire and sporting a billhook on his belt.
His beard is full and gray, and his face is hard and cold. He is also known as Le Rêche Précepteur or Le Grand Savant.
The Great Scholar lives atop a very high, pointed tower overlooking a huge city. It is said that consulting his knowledge is worth climbing the ten-thousand steps that lead to his study.
But few have succeeded, for its door is guarded by a chimerical creature, whose enigma is impossible for ordinary mortals to solve.
On stormy evenings, lightning can be seen striking the top of his tower, and a demented laugh is said to be heard escaping.
