Background
(From the Grimoire of Umbral Lore, information translated by Oryn Beren)
History:
Aelrion Luminor was once the crown prince of Cael Tyrion, the majestic Elven capital of the kingdom of Ambria, a city where the elves ruled with wisdom and grace. From a young age, Aelrion stood out not only for his brilliant mind but also for his insatiable ambition. His desire for power knew no bounds, and he saw his people's great destiny as an opportunity to dominate the neighboring kingdoms. He dreamed of transforming Cael Tyrion into an unrivaled power, a capital capable of rivaling even the gods themselves.
However, his ambition, excessive in the eyes of the wise and the ancient ones of his lineage, ultimately led to his downfall. In a desperate attempt to seize absolute control, Aelrion broke the sacred laws of the city and defied the ancestral principles. The arrogance of his plot was his undoing. After failing in his schemes, Aelrion was exiled, cast out from Cael Tyrion and the lands of Ambria, becoming a dishonored outcast without home or future.
The Fall:
Broken and filled with hatred toward those who had betrayed him, Aelrion turned to dark forces to fuel his revenge. He sought ultimate power, and in his desperate quest, he found Zorn, the God of the Undead, an entity who governs the realms of the afterlife. Consumed by rage, Aelrion pledged allegiance to Zorn in exchange for the power to destroy his enemies and return in a form that would shatter the established order.
In a forbidden and macabre ritual, Aelrion renounced his physical form and submitted to a transformation that led to his end and his return as a lich, an otherworldly being animated by necromantic forces. The name he once bore no longer mattered; he was now known as Xar, The Unseen. His vision was blurred, his soul devoured, but his powers were immense. As a powerfull wizard, Xar became an unstoppable threat, capable of controlling the undead and bending dark magic to his will.
